Our Story
Impactful Collective grew out of conversations among colleagues and friends about the contribution our research could make beyond the university. As consultants with doctoral and master’s training, we bring expertise in social research and policy analysis, alongside experience working with governments, non-profits, and community organizations. We share an interest in how institutions respond to social problems, whose experiences inform those responses, and where existing policies and services fall short.
How we began
We formed the collective as colleagues and friends with different research specializations. A collective model allows us to work independently while drawing on one another’s expertise, bringing together a team suited to the questions and demands of each project.
We review research designs together, discuss interpretations, and question one another’s assumptions. Working across areas of expertise helps us recognize connections that a single perspective might miss and produce analysis that benefits from careful discussion and critical thinking.
